Koreana - Korean BBQ in Serris Val d'Europe

Michel and I went to this Korean BBQ several times already. In the very beginning, the food wasn't so good. But now that the Manager has handled the cook, the taste is quite different. For the entry, you can have these goyza self made by the restaurant itself (not frozen sold in the chinese stores), or you can have the shrimps with fruits salad. For the BBQ, the Manager let us try the "paleron" (beef) and the pork meet. It is so tasty and so good ! The beef melt in the mouth, and pork becomes crispy. We did not have a dessert as we are quite full. So we only have this "café gourmand" all self made by the restaurant itself. There's a fruit salad, a mini asian cake and 2 nutella rolls fried. Usually when you order the "café gourmand", in main restaurants, they serve a coffee and a cookie that they buy from the market. But here all is self made. That's the different. The decoration of the restaurant is simple but cosy. The plus : CLEAN. Yeah. Everything is clean. It's pretty impressive for asian restaurant, coz most of them are not so clean. You can enjoy your bbq without asking if you will get intoxicated.

We had this diner next to a table, seated with the American Manager of Mariott's Hotel... Even the Manager of Disney France eat in this place. Wanna try ?

How to get there : take the subway line A direction Chessy Marne La Vallée, stop at the station "Val d'Europe", go into the commercial center, and cross the center to the food dept, and turn on the left side, there is Koreana.

Michel et moi, nous étions déjà allés plusieurs fois dans ce restaurant. Au tout début de l'ouverture, la cuisine n'était pas exceptionnelle. Mais depuis que le responsable a tout repris en main, le niveau s'est nettement amélioré. En entrée, vous pouvez prendre les goyza (raviolis) fait maison, ou une salade de fruits avec crevettes en papillote. Pour le barbecue, le responsable nous a fait goûté au paleron et la poitrine de porc. C'était délicieux ! Le boeuf fond dans la bouche et la poitrine de porc devient croustillante. Nous n'avons pas pris de dessert, car nous étions bien rassassiés. Le café gourmand offre un café accompagné d'une petite salade de fruits frais, avec une petite tarte et 2 flûtes au nutella frits. Tout est fait maison. Il faut dire que dans la plupart des restaurants, le café gourmand est composé de biscuits achetés au supermarché. C'est ce qui fait la différence. En terme de décoration, c'est plutôt épuré et cosy. Le plus : la PROPRETE. Et oui ! Tout est propre ! Et c'est même assez impressionnant pour un restaurant asiatique. Vous pouvez déguster tranquillement votre barbecue sans avoir peur d'être intoxiqué. Nous avons diné à côté d'une table, où étaient assis les responsables des hôtels Mariott... Et même le responsable de Disney France fréquente ce restaurant. Alors, ça donne envie ?

Printemps - Department store in Paris downtown

Do you know the book "Shopaholic" from Sophie Kinsella? Well, this Monday, I felt like being Rebecca Bloomwood in Manhattan! I went to this department store called Printemps, I used to go to these shopping places when I lived in Paris downtown. I haven't been there for like 2 years, but when I reach the store, I found back myself ! The new decoration of the store, the shoes department were all spendid ! For one second, I recognized myself in the book that I am reading. Becky. Yes, I am Becky LOL. I haven't seen so many branded items for so long... Thank God I had this day off to go to Paris downtown on a daytime. I love Paris ! This is really my hometown.

Connaissez vous le livre "l'accro du shopping" de Sophie Kinsella? Eh ben ce lundi, j'ai eu l'impression d'être Rebecca Bloomwood à Manhattan ! Je suis allée au Printemps, lieu que je fréquentais souvent lorsque j'habitais encore Paris. Je n'y étais pas retournée depuis 2 ans, mais lorsque j'ai poussé la porte d'entrée, j'ai retrouvé mon ancienne vie de parisienne ! La nouvelle décoration du magasin, le département chaussure ont tout pour vous attirer ! Pendant une seconde, je me suis reconnue dans le personnage du livre que je suis en train de lire. Et oui, pendant une seconde, j'étais devenue Becky ! Il y avait bien longtemps que je ne voyais plus autant de marques. Merci Seigneur pour cette journée de RTT ! J'adore Paris ! C'est vraiment ma ville natale !

Novotel Puente de la Paz - Madrid

We went to Madrid for a week end and we have choosen to rest in the Novotel Puente de la Paz. This 4 star hotel is well located, about 25 minutes from the downtown Sol. The room is really comfortable, with a double bed and a working desk. The bed room is quite large, every thing is quite clean. The welcome host are very nice, they speak English and French. There are a lot of pick pockets in the city. It is not fun being in Madrid this time as they thought we were from China or Japan. Wrong ! We were all FBC with one african friend. They tried to steal us several time only on 2 days. Madrid is definitively not a place to be... We felt unsecure for the whole week end ...

How to get there : get off at the station Parque de las Avenidas, then cross the bridge and you will see the hotel on the left side right after the bridge (around 10 min from the subway station).

Cost : we had a special internet rate 59 euros per room ! The normal cost is 220 euros per night.

Nous avons passé un week end à Madrid et nous avons choisi de passer la nuit au Novotel Puente de la Paz. Cet hôtel 4 étoiles est très bien situé, à environ 25 minutes du centre ville Sol. La chambre est confortable, avec un lit double et un bureau. La chambre est spacieuse et propre. L'accueil est plaisant, ils parlent anglais et français. Il y a beaucoup de pick pockets dans la ville. Ils nous ont pris pour un groupe de touristes chinois ou japonais. Mais non ! Nous étions des français d'origine chinoise avec une amie d'origine africaine. Ils ont essayé de nous voler pendant toute la durée du séjour (2 jours). Madrid n'est pas un lieu très accueillant. Nous ne nous sommes pas sentis en sécurité durant tout le week end.

Comment y accéder : descendre à la station Parque de las Avenidas, traverser le pont et vous pouvez voir en grand le panneau de l'hôtel sur le côté gauche du pont (environ 10 min de marche à pied)

Coût : nous avons bénéficié d'un tarif spécial internet à 59 euros la nuit, sachant que le coût normal de la chambre est à 220 euros.
